Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience in teaching a core subject at GCSE level essential.
  • Substantial recent experience of teaching in a setting with learners with social emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD
  • Evidence of successful teaching experience with vulnerable children.
  • Good understanding of the Estyn Framework 
  • Good interpersonal skills and emotional resilience in working with children.
  • Good awareness of and clear ability to safeguard children by developing appropriate relationships, personal boundaries and maintaining discipline.
  • Ability to work well unsupervised and use initiative effectively. 
  • Able to build compassionate and appropriate professional relationships

As a teacher you will:

  • Have empathy and understanding for young people with Mental Health & Complex Needs
  • Ensure completion of all Safeguarding, Prevent, Foundations for Safer Care and mandatory training annually.
  • Develop and share creative approaches which integrate individual student performance with well-being and inclusive approaches with attainment.
  • Promote, develop and sustain strong partnerships beyond the classroom which include home, other agencies and community partnerships.
  • Promote Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural opportunities within lessons at each opportunity

At Young Foundations, we specialise in residential step-down services and specialist education for children and young people with complex needs, learning disabilities, and autism.
