About Amisfield House:

Amisfield House caters for children and young people who have autism, severe and complex learning difficulties and who exhibit associated behaviours that challenge.

Our aim is to support children and young people to develop a wide range of skills, such as communication, social and independence skills in an environment that offers warmth, security, consistency and understanding. The children and young people are supported to do this by a range of highly skilled staff that ensure all children and young people experience a broad range of different opportunities, and that every child or young person enjoys their childhood.

We place a great deal of emphasis upon relationships with young people. Recognising that the most important tool we possess in helping our young people to grow, develop, and be a meaningful participant in society - is ourselves.

This role is all about putting the needs of children and young people first. We’re seeking someone who has:

  • Bucketfuls of empathy – you can step into a young person’s shoes and see the world through their eyes.
  • Level 3 Children's Residential Practioner qualification. 
  • Driver Essential 
  • A caring and supportive nature – you take pride in the difference you make each day.
  • Patience and listening skills – you understand that the little things are often the most important.
  • A passion for helping young people thrive – you believe in their potential and are committed to supporting their journey.
